Huawei's corporate structure: It includes a Shareholders' Meeting at the highest level, a Board of Directors that sets strategy and a Board of Supervisors that oversees compliance. The company operates through six main business units: Connectivity, Computing, Devices, Automotive, Digital Power, and Cloud. It also has a channel partner system for its enterprise business group and a commitment to building a partner ecosystem for shared success. 

Corporate governance

Shareholders' Meeting: The highest authority, making major decisions like capital increases and profit distribution.

Board of Directors (BOD): Makes strategic and operational decisions, led by rotating chairs, and guided by its Executive Committee.

Board of Supervisors: Oversees the BOD and senior management, monitors financial and operational performance, and ensures compliance.

Rotating CEO System: The CEO is the highest responsibility for company management and crisis management during their rotation under the Board of Directors.

Independent Auditor: KPMG has been the independent auditor since 2000, responsible for auditing the company's annual financial statements. 

Business units and customer groups

Business Units: Huawei's operations are organized into six business units: Connectivity, Computing, Devices (smartphones, laptops, wearables), Automotive, Digital Power, and Cloud.

Customer Groups: These business units serve three main customer groups: Carriers (network operators), Enterprises (corporate customers), and Consumers (end users). 

Partner structure

Channel Partner Ecosystem: The company works with a global network of over 40,000 partners to build its ecosystem.

Tiered partners: This network includes a two-tiered system of partners for its enterprise business:

Tier 1: Includes global and region distributors, global and region partners, and value-added partners.

Tier 2: Includes gold, silver, and authorized partners.

Partner roles: Tier 1 partners primarily focus on distribution and managing Tier 2 partners, while Tier 2 partners target specific industries and customers.

 Huawei operates through six primary business units: 

they provide integrated information and communications technology (ICT) solutions and smart devices to a diverse range of customers globally. 

The main business areas are:

Carrier Business Group: 

This group focuses on providing telecom network equipment and services to network operators. Huawei has been a leader in deploying 5G networks in many countries.

Enterprise Business Group (EBG): 

EBG offers a wide range of products and solutions for enterprise customers across various industries, including government, finance, energy, transportation, and education. Products include enterprise networking, optical networking, data storage, and intelligent collaboration tools. This group also operates the sub-brand HUAWEI eKit specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Consumer Business Group (Devices): 

This unit is responsible for end-user devices such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, wearables, and other smart devices.

Cloud Business: 

This business provides public cloud services, hybrid cloud solutions, and the on-premises cloud solution Huawei Cloud Stack, with a focus on Cloud+Data+AI integration.

Digital Power Business:

 This group focuses on innovative energy solutions, leveraging digital technology to provide leading energy-efficient products and solutions, promoting renewable energy, and working towards sustainable development.

Automotive Business: 

This unit is focused on providing ICT components and solutions for intelligent vehicles and the automotive industry. 

Huawei works with a vast network of partners to build a robust ecosystem and promote the implementation of AI and digital transformation across various scenarios. 

Huawei's subsidiaries 

Huawei has numerous subsidiaries, including Huawei Device Co., Ltd. for consumer products and Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co. for its operations in Thailand. Other subsidiaries include HiSilicon (a semiconductor company) and FutureWei Technologies, Inc. (a US subsidiary). 

Key Huawei subsidiaries

Huawei Device Co., Ltd.: Responsible for end-user devices like smartphones, laptops, and wearables.

HiSilicon: A subsidiary that designs microprocessors and other chipsets.

FutureWei Technologies, Inc.: The US subsidiary for Huawei's operations in North America.

Huawei Enterprise USA, Inc.: Another US-based subsidiary, this one focuses on the enterprise market.

Huawei Marine: Specializes in submarine communication technology.

Huawei Digital Power: A business unit focused on digital power solutions.

Huawei Cloud: A separate business unit provides cloud computing services
